§ 72-151. Billing.

(a)

Charges for water service will be billed by the city on a monthly basis. Water meters are normally read on the 15th and 16th of each month for the previous 30-day period. Charges for all water service and sewage disposal service during that 30-day period shall be mailed out by the tenth day of the following month, shall be immediately due and payable at that time, and may be paid without penalty up to and including the 25th day of the month when rendered, and shall thereafter be subject to a ten percent penalty.

(b)

No partial bills will be computed/prepared except as stated in subsection (c) of this section.

(c)

The full basic monthly charge will always be included on each bill, except for customers that have made a written request to the city for discontinuation of service. A partial water bill will be created and the pro-rated amount determined, based on the date of discontinuance of water service.
