§ 22-73. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Debris means the miscellaneous solid waste resulting from housekeeping and business enterprises including, but not limited to, boxes, cartons, paper, ashes and cinders, metals, cans, bottles, glassware, earthenware, rubber, rags, wood, coal, coke, leather, automobiles and automobile parts, tires, leaves, grass and furniture.

    Garbage means the animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of food.

    Trash means debris and garbage.
